Project Overview

I was hired as a Senior UX Engineer for the OptumRx Mobile Application End-to-End, but also worked on UX Design as well as UI Design. My responsibilities were the following:

  • Collaborated with product partners and key stakeholders to create creative briefs, product requirements, and other documentation
  • In every project and step in the process, I ideated, provided input during reviews, and created clear and comprehensible wireframes within specific product requirements and deadlines
  • I designed with mobile first in mind and a keen eye towards user accessibility
  • I advocated for the user and communicated informed design rationale
  • I developed new design solutions on time and within scope

Research Objectives

  • Assess the usability of the end-to-end experience flow for OptumRx Mobile MVP
  • Understand participants’ knowledge of the end-to-end OptumRx mobile experience
  • Understand participant perceptions and attitudes of the end-to-end experience

Sketch to Figma Conversion

The mobile experience team was undergoing a switch from Sketch to Figma. Because I was also a UI Designer I also assisted in taking all of the existing screens from Sketch and rebuilding them in Figma with pixel-perfect precision and creating new components in areas that required reusable portions throughout the application.

In my role, I was responsible for reviewing past user studies and conducting a comprehensive audit. This involved ensuring that all recommendations were effectively implemented by the development and design teams, thereby guaranteeing that the application’s redesign aligned closely with user needs and expectations.
